My Education and time at Linn-Mar High School:

After graduating from Washington High School in Vinton, Iowa, I attended UNI for two years. I studied theatre and speech, working on several shows. I continued my education at the University of Iowa, Iowa City. I graduated with a BA in Communication/Theatre Arts Education with a minor in English. As a part of the theatre at Iowa, I worked the summer theatre, participated in shows at Hancher Auditorium, and worked on a traveling production.

It has been exciting to work with the staff and students at Linn-Mar High School. There is so much talent and dedication in these students. I enjoy working with them both on and off the stage. They take great pride in their work and performances.

With the help of the administration, there is now an all Freshmen Speech Team and an all Freshmen Play. We have also started a fall musical production. I have enjoyed working with Iowa High School Speech Association as a coach and a district officer. Working with the Speech and Theatre programs has been wonderful.
